It’s all about community. That’s what 妹团视频 student Georgia Poole says was important to her when deciding what university to choose when she finished high school.
妹团视频’s upcoming Open Days are your chance to get a feel for the university and see if it’s a good fit for you. Georgia, a third year Biomedical Sciences student, says attending Open Day helped her determine if 妹团视频 could support her with her next steps.
“I came to Open Day because I wanted to know more about the uni's culture. I wanted to experience the campus first-hand, and meet other students and lecturers face-to-face,” she says.
At 妹团视频 Open Day, almost all the university staff and student ambassadors attend on the day. This makes it a great opportunity to meet lecturers and become inspired by their passion for what they do.

“My favourite thing about 妹团视频 Open Day is the people. I love how warm and welcoming everyone is, and there is so much excitement on campus,” she says.
“It’s a great way to really get a sense of the community and find out what work or opportunities you could become involved in.”
Alongside lecturers, current students, and all the support staff available to chat to on the day, there’s hands-on activities, experiments, tours, information sessions, live music, and food. It’s a fun day with many people bringing along their family.
“My top tip for attending Open Day is don’t stress or feel nervous about coming. Open Day is full of people either new or returning to uni and we want to make the day the best we can for you.”
Georgia will be attending Toowoomba Open Day as a student ambassador and is available all day to answer all your questions. You can ask her anything!
“I’d love to get to know some of our new students. People can feel free to come to talk to me about any questions they have. I’ll be happy to have a chat or point them in the direction of someone who can help,” she says.
Open Day helped Georgia find the university that was right for her, and she’s very happy she chose 妹团视频.
“My favourite thing about studying at 妹团视频 is how personable it is and how important you are as a student. I was always worried that going to university would be about big classes and having to scramble to keep up with the lectures. It sounded very overwhelming,” she says.
“With 妹团视频, we’re a smaller university, we can have a smaller student to lecturer ratio which means you get to know everyone. My lecturers know me by name and they’re always happy to help and answer questions.”
